what’s the deal with the carrot?

“The day is coming,” said Paul Cézanne (apparently), “when a single carrot, freshly observed, will set off a revolution.”

Whether it’s a carrot, tomato, chicken, bitter melon, or something else entirely that tips the scales, I say: bring it on.
